Director of Business Development

Frank Melton, Director of Business Development, brings 22 years of professional marketing, advertising and packaging experience to Universal Grow Controls. Since January of 2018, Frank has assisted in the specialization of industrial automation for commercial cannabis cultivation and horticulture equipment, laboratory equipment, and facility design. As Project Manager, Frank promotes the mindful growing and extraction of cannabis by collaborating with engineers, designers, draftsmen, and contractors, and oversees relationships with local jurisdictions to execute sales, contracts, direct installations, and commissions.

Frank’s goal is to destigmatize the use of cannabis and to promote a cultural shift in the perception of cannabis use through community outreach, education, and the facilitation of medical and recreational cannabis for humans and medical cannabis for pets.

Frank lives in south St. Louis, Missouri with his wife Jeanne, his daughter Tillie, and dog Rockie. Frank enjoys gardening and time with his friends and family, camping and canoeing Missouri’s Ozark steams. As a fine artist himself, Frank finds inspiration through his lifelong passion for nature, plant life, and animals. Frank’s experience with cannabis as a young artist connected him with the earth in a profound way that continues to influence him to this day.
